Clinic Services

The VicCityU Clinic is currently offering teletherapy (video and telephone counselling) and in person counselling with the opening of the Victoria location in January 2023. The Clinic provides counselling services within an integrated and collaborative practice model. 

The VicCityU Clinic is open to all people; not currently in crisis (may be referred to crisis support services)

Interested in working through a personal, relational, family, school or work-related issue or challenge in any topic of concern.

Counselling is provided on many different mental health issues such as:

The VicCityU Clinic provides services to people with a wide range of counselling concerns, not currently in crisis or coping with a severe mental health ailment. Intern Counsellors will assist with information and referrals, counselling, working through difficulties and life concerns and connecting clients to appropriate resources. The VicCityU Clinic does not provide formalized psychological assessments or testing, and does not provide legal assistance.

The Intern Counsellors are trained to help clients through the use of many different types of interventions such as: cognitive behaviour therapy, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic approaches, psycho-education, motivational interviewing, exposure based therapies, and trauma informed practices. Couples and family systems therapy may also be provided.
